New Local Primary School Built By Local Businesses

Local businesses and workers are helping to build a new, state-of the-art primary school which will open its doors to 500 students from next year.

The new South Melbourne Park Primary School, is a Local Jobs First project, which means it is creating opportunities for local businesses like Exar Pty Ltd and Advanced Lifestyle Solutions Pty Ltd.

The project is supporting 44 local jobs, including providing opportunities for four apprentices and cadets to gain valuable on-the-job skills in areas such as electrical, carpentry and design engineering.

This is one of more than 600 Local Jobs First projects that commenced in 2017-18 – creating thousands of new jobs, including hundreds for apprentices and trainees.
