The Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital project is a $200 million development, transforming Sunshine hospital into a leading paediatric and maternal health facility. This project has a commitment to 85% local content and jobs under Local Jobs First – Victorian Industry Participation Policy. This significant project in Melbourne’s West is generating great opportunities for local Victorian businesses.

Local digital construction technologies are being used to deliver the project. The hospital build is using local technology solutions, including intelligent 3D modelling (BIM) to bring together the design, engineering, construction and facilities management to preview exactly how the hospital will look and operate.

Since the project began in late 2016, more than 30 Victorian businesses have contributed across manufacturing, infrastructure, design and delivery.
