Panel of suppliers

Some projects require a department or agency to appoint a panel of suppliers to provide specific goods or services over a period of time, from which panel members will be engaged to deliver required work packages.

Panel contracts are subject to Local Jobs First if the total value of a project that utilises the panel meets the Local Jobs First thresholds of:

$1 million or more in regional Victoria, or
$3 million or more in metropolitan Melbourne or for statewide activities.

If you are a panel supplier and the project meets the Local Jobs First thresholds, the procuring agency will notify you in the approach to market and contracts.

Depending on the value of the project, it could be classified as either a Standard or Strategic Project.
You will need to complete a Local Industry Development Plan.
